Worthy's Farouk Bergkamm-- F-litter:  Zidane v.h. Sevens SchH3, IPO3, KKL2,  WUSV x 2
                                    X Zulma van't Leefdaalhof

J. Francisco Velázquez González's puppy
Worthy's Farouk on his first day in Mexico:
"Where's the snow?"

Farouk, nine months of age>>>>>

Seven months ago I began to look for a puppy with the purpose of training
him for the Schutzhund competitions.

During my search I found a great variety of blood lineage options and breeders as well; in Europe
and in the USA .

I contacted some of them and asked for information regarding  the litters. Posing my needs and
the characteristics I look for in a dog. Most of them replied promptly and gave me the precise and
requested information. One of them was Worthy Kennels. The person who replied to my e-mail
was Veronica Worthington, she had sold part of a litter at that time.

I was amazed by the honest reply of Veronica, as she told me that there was not any puppy with
high –grade competition characteristics left in the litter she had at the moment. So she suggested
me to wait for a subsequent litter; engendered by Zidane Haus Sevens and Zulma van`t
Leefdaalhof.

I believe that , for many breeders, it would have been very convenient to sell me any puppy
regardless of the drive levels and work capabilities I was looking for. To me, Veronica`s attitude is
highly esteemed as  I think trust is something indispensable for any deal between people.

Some months later I contacted Veronica again to let her know I was still interested in a puppy from
the “F” litter. After some e-mail messages informing about the development of the litter, we agreed
upon the shipment of the puppy to my country; Mexico .

I must say that due to some sanitary and health regulations, the consignment of the puppy to
Mexico was complicated and, in spite of the difficulties Veronica worked with great perseverance
so that I could be able to receive the puppy!!

At this time I have 5 weeks with the puppy and I just want to say thanks very gratefully to
Veronica, for giving me the opportunity to have a great puppy which shows signs of exceptional
work capabilities, STRONG NERVES, and excellent level of instincts.

It will always be a pleasure to deal with honest and reliable breeders, but, above all, with excellent
human beings.

The only remaining thing to say is that I have a firm pledge with Veronica, and this pledge is a
question of taking Farouk to a great competition levels.

Thank you Veronica!

Worthy's Catie C-Litter, SG Grisco v.d. Rauhen Sitten SchH3, KKL2, LGA X SG Alexa zur Borgeler-
Linde SchH1
I cannot say enough good things about Worthy Kennels Breeding
Program.  Veronica not only has a unique ability to read her buyers
but also to match a very young pup with that request.  When you
are seeking strong working dogs, Worthy Kennels would be my
first choice.  Worthy’s Catie at a young age shows so much drive,
my focus is not how to build drive but how to channel it.  What a
unique experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Thank You, Veronica.

"Sarge", B litter:  Arras van't Leefdaalhof GHP1, KKL1, hips A2 x Anouk van Luttelhof, HD/B.

"Sarge" is huge for his age, and our veterinarian is very impressed with him.  He learns fast,
and already knows all his basic commands at the age of 6 months.  He has a fun trick:  We
tell him to go get a dog biscuit.  He opens the cabinet, takes out one dog biscuit, and returns
to me with the biscuit. Then I tell him that he can have it.

Another conversation:  "Sarge treed a 250 pound young black bear when he was six months
old."

---FeeBee makes SchH1--12/2008 and FH--4/2009

Veronica,

I have started working FeeBee and
she is really talented.  My father-in-law
advised me to wait a couple of weeks
before I started doing anything
with her, but she was doing so well
at home after a couple of days I
decided to go ahead.  I haven't
pushed to much just letting her
decide what she is ready for and
I have been so pleased.

Thursday she went to the training
club with me. My opinion is to always
step back a little with a new dog, so
the first session was a couple of
bites on the tug and finished with a couple of sleeve bites.  She has a nice full calm grip.
She really shakes and you can see the inherent fight drive and that is great.  I am not a fan
of the dogs that have so much calm that they just hold the sleeve.  Even if the grip is hard I
still like a dog that tries to shake and kill the prey item.  She definitely has that.

Then Saturday we had a trial in Tulsa Oklahoma and I took her.  She made the ride very well and
traveled nicely.  After the trial we took the field for some bite work and she did great with
several sleeve bites.  It was a group of young dogs and honestly I think she did the best of any
dog in the group.  The helper was Dean Calderon a notable trainer who has won several nationals
and is a world competitor.

We tracked a couple more times and she continues to impress me.

I played a little obedience games with her and she's quick and responsive.  I use a lot of the
techniques from the
Obedience Without Conflict from Ivan Balabanov.  She has great drive for the
toy and works my butt off with that super athleticism of hers.

Okay the best for last.  She is sweet, guidable, beautiful in structure, and a great housedog.  My
wife and boys adore her almost as much as I do.  It's been a long time since I have had a dog
that I love like this one.

I mentioned my father-in-law earlier.  He trained three national champions back in the mid 80's
in the now extinct club NASA.  I took FeeBee to see him Sunday and he was so happy to see what
a quality dog I have.

Well I could go on and on.  I am so glad the OFA prelims came back excellent hips and normal
elbows like you expected.

Thanks for everything.  You can count on me keeping you updated.   If someone wants to email
me as a reference, you have my permission.

Perry S., Oklahoma, K9 officer.

----Another recent email from Perry:  FeeBee continues to do really well.  I am seeing a big change
in her aggression in the protection work. She is coming out really hard and the hold and bark is
looking great.  She is also protective of my 13 year old son.   --Perry S.

                                                                                             Worthy's Handsome Beast--H litter.
Veronica,
Stephanie and I just want to say thank you again
for allowing us to share our lives with Beast. We
took him out the other day to do some
socialization training and was totally blown away on how
well mannered he was. We have been working him on
sit, some down, comes...the natural gambit of
commands for a 3 month old, but Saturday he amazed us
once again with his intelligence. He was allowed
to have 3 little boys play with him and he would
do the puppy nip and rough play, but when a
little girl came up and wanted to pet him, he totally
flipped a switch in his head and knew that he
could not play with her as he could with the boys.
She reached for him and he took his time and
licked the little girls hands, instead of playing
rough. Once she was satisfied with petting Beast, he
turned his attention back to the boys to play.We cannot thank you enough for allowing us the
opportunity to have such a smart pup. We look forward to many years of working and training
Beast. This is only one of the many examples that he has done to show the way he is going to be.
Thanks once again.

Brian and Stephanie F, Anchorage, Alaska.

Josh took these pictures of Donna C.
and her puppy "Kip", (I litter-V Kanto v. Firecatcher
x Zulma van't Leefdaalhof) becoming familiar with
boats and water for SAR purposes.

Hi Veronica,

We are enjoying the new little pup.
We named her 'Kip'
She is training wonderfully for search
and rescue work. She certainly has a
'nose' for tracking.

Last week I went to a group training and they were impressed with her attention to the track - very
easy toread. She will pop her head up for distractions or noises (to identify the source) then she
immediately sticks her nose back into the track without being told to go back to work. She is very
rewarding to work with.  Lots of raw talent.

I have sent a few people your way. The local search community seems to like the look of Kip and
her conformation, work ethic, and sociability.

Thanks again for the great puppy.
Donna C.
